This pistachio goes by the name of Fandoghi (round) pistachio due to its round and hazelnut-like appearance and has amounted to 50% of Iran’s pistachio production over the recent years. Fandoghi (round) pistachio is rich in nutrition and tastes excellent. This type of pistachio has been more warmly received by the international market because of its small size, convenient price, high production volume, diverse qualities, various production areas, and supplier diversity compared to other types of pistachios available in Iran.
